Abstract
The parents of 26 leukemic children were questioned with regard to the early development of the sick child, its behavior, its tolerance to stress, the familial situation, the position of the sick child in the family and its leisure habits. Other questions concerned the situation of the leukemic children in kindergarten and school and the ways parents and children handled the problems involved. It is emphasized that the behavior toward the sick child in the family and school should be normal, the more so since the conditions for this are fulfilled by the sick children, the parents, the schools and the teachers.
