Abstract

The article discusses the trial of David Yaakobowitz who is found guilty after murdering a man and raping the man's half-sister while strolling in Meir Park, Tel Aviv, Israel. It notes that Yaakobowitz is accused of murder of the brother but is not charged for rape due to the sister's stand as the main witness for the prosecution. It is stated that he is found guilty for murder and is sentenced to death as read in the judgment. It mentions that on appeal, Yaakobowitz is acquitted of murder, convicted for manslaughter, sentenced to imprisonment for fifteen years.
