Abstract

Volatile substance abuse is a common and underdiagnosed disorder among young children and adolescents. The medical and psychiatric morbidity is high and dangerous. We reviewed the epidemiology, clinical features and damages to the various body systems of the child and his/her mental status. Recommendations for early detection and treatment approach are presented.
