Abstract
Treatment of recurrent vaginal infections is still a challenge for gynecologists. Use of local hyperthermia in combination with antibiotic therapy for the treatment of various gynecological disorders has been reported. In our study we examined hyperthermic treatment for recurrent vaginitis and evaluated the clinical response as well as the subjective improvement reported by the patients. Our findings suggest that local hyperthermia can be effectively used, solitarily or as an adjuvant therapy in the treatment of recurrent vaginitis.
