Abstract

Locust fat-body monoacylglycerol acyltransferase specifically acylates 2-acyl-sn-glycerol; 1-acyl and 2-alkyl-sn-glycerol are poor substrates. The system was activated by Tween 20. Maximal activity was obtained at pH 7.0. Release of free CoA could not be shown.
