Abstract

An analytical methodology is applied to assess the likelihood and scope of U.S. pressure on Israel within a given short-term framework and under a specific scenario. The assessment is carried out through a hierarchical model describing elements relevant to the problem. By considering interactions between these elements and assessing their priorities, specific questions can be answered. The methodology presented in this article is flexible and can be easily adapted to other situations. The mathematical framework ensures that all details of the analysis are considered and results integrated in a cohesive unit.
