Abstract

The article discusses the controversies regarding the ill treatment of religious-ethnic minorities in France and Israel. It presents a comparison of the accommodation of the minority groups between Israel and France. It mentions the restriction of the French government in the wearing of religious affiliated signs like Muslim headscarves in its public schools on March 15, 2004. It notes the uniform controversy in Israel, as well. Furthermore, it also examines the similarities of both controversial incidents on both countries.
