Abstract

A new approach to studying the operation of electrical machines is presented in this paper. This approach is applied to the analysis of the induction machine, synchronous machine and transformer operating at balanced steady state conditions. The newly proposed approach is based on the electric network theory. By means of the direct matrix sum method a general equivalent network for each machine in an easier, logical and shorter way.
