Abstract

We reveal an exciting feature of a topological transition in a metamaterial formed by parallel nanowires of polaritonic material. When the dispersion transits from the epsilon-positive to the epsilon-indefinite regime an unbounded spatial spectrum of propagating eigen-modes arises that implies an extraordinary Purcell factor.
