Abstract
External reality brings down the walls of the congress and the walls in the session. We have trouble with the effects of the telescoping between normative theories and this new disorder. Faced with this disorder, we have no theories or definitions that allow us to infer its effects. Forced to accept that we belong at one and the same time to multiple strata, we move forward as if we were wandering. The events leave deep marks of social pain on individual and collective histories. Their meanings as well as their effects produce a caesura: a “before” and an “after”, an endlessly threatening and painful “today”.
