Tunable mid-infrared light generation in periodically-poled crystals of the KTiOPO4 family and application to gas sensing

Abstract

A convenient method is developed for detection of environmental gases and pollutants. A mid-infrared spectrometer is developed based on quasi-phase matched difference frequency mixing in periodically-poled crystals of KTiOPO4 family. The generated mid-infrared radiation was detected with HgCdTe detector.
