Abstract
20 patients with hypercalciuria and urolitbiasis were treated with ortbophosphate and 10 patients with hydrochlorothiazide. The treatment with orthophosphate or with hydrochlorothiazide appeared clinically beneficial. A significant decrease in urinary calcium excretion was observed in both groups of treated patients. However hydrochlorothiazide was found to be more efficient in reducing urinary calcum excretion.
