Abstract

A bimetallic alkylzinc calixarene inclusion complex reacts with boron trifluoride to give a Zn2+ complex, where the metal ion is coordinated to four neutral oxygen atoms of the calixarene lower rim and two aqua ligands occupying the axial positions.
