Abstract
Three episodes of transient hemiparesis following administration of nitroglycerin were observed in a patient with both coronary and cerebral vascular disease. One of these episodes was associated with a drop in blood pressure. Since the association of coronary artery disease and cerebrovascular disease is fairly common in the elderly, nitroglycerin should be administered with caution to patients with significant cerebrovascular disease.
