N2 - With the growth of world population and food demand, it is crucial to optimize water consumption for agriculture cultivation. Here we propose a method to monitor plant status, relating the measured parameters to the watering or drying situation of a single plant. Plant trunk electrical impedance measurements and environmental parameters were analyzed with a statistical approach. Correlation and causality among the data are showed and analyzed. In this way, it was possible to easily obtain the needed information about plant status.
