Abstract

Many time domain problems can be decomposed into several smaller sub-problems. Solutions of these sub-problem for several excitations can be aggregated to form the solution of the original problem. This general approach, known as diakoptics or domain decomposition, can be formulated along three routes, i.e., spatial and spectral domain decomposition, and the source decomposition method (SDM). The SDM is seen most promising.
