Abstract
This symposium, the third convention of the German Society for the Treatment of Autoimmune Disorders, provided a stage for both clinical and basic research updates along with state of the art reviews. The main aim of the sessions was to report the progress and highlight prominent issues and developments in the field of autoimmunity, focusing particularly on potential therapeutic options. Despite being a national meeting, the participation of many guests from outside Germany was noticed. Physicians as well as basic science researchers took part in this gathering that was organized thanks to the efforts of Prof. Sticherling from the Department of Dermatology of the Leipzig University.
