N2 - School administration computerization is more than a mere technological change. In the Israeli educational system it has affected the school's structural subsystem. A new role, that of the school computer administrator (SCA) was created. The main characteristics of this role are discussed and the nature of the SCA's interrelations with the principal, subject-coordinators, homeroom-teachers and teachers in a high school are presented and analyzed. Accountability, instruction evaluation, supervision, feedback, frequency of meetings, and shared decision-making were found to be significantly impacted. Findings of this study have two major uses: to help in introducing SMIS in the school and to contribute in the study of the impact of information technology on instruction administration management.
