Abstract

A calculation of severat contributions to the partial width of the isospin-forbidden proton decays of T = 3 2 states has been made for a number of nuclei. It was found that the dominant term in the partial width amplitude arises from the Coulomb mixing of the T = 3 2 states with their configuration states. The consequences of a possible charge-dependence and charge asymmetry of the nuclear force are discussed and their contribution to the partial width are estimated.
