Abstract
The Israeli Mental Health Act (1955) and its regulations dealt only partially with the rights of the mental patient. We shall review these rights as they appear in the above Act and its regulations. In addition, several reform measures have been proposed during the past few years, and we shall also review these proposals from the point of view of patients' rights. Our discussion will be from the psychiatric viewpoint.
