Abstract

Pseudophoxinus zeregi (Heckel) and P. (Pararhodeus) drusensis (Pellegrin) have been examined from populations near their respective type localities. It was found that there is no basis for the subgenus Pararhodeus and that the two forms are best regarded as subspecies of Pseudophoxinus zeregi.
