The polarization catastrophe and the metal-non-metal transition in disordered materials

Abstract

We demonstrate the divergence and the discontinuity of the low-frequency dielectric constant of two-component systems at the composition which marks the metal-non-metal transition (MNMT), establishing a general criterion for the identification of the MNMT in disordered materials.
