Abstract

The topic of this short article is a proposition that there is a special motivation of the process of search activity that belongs to highly developed animals and humans and determines not only the adaptation to the complicated environment but also the alteration of the environment by itself and the development of the subject’s opportunities. This motivation of the process of search has no special place in the hierarchy of motivations because it accompanies all motivations from the basic biological one up to the highest that characterize only humans. This motivation cannot be totally satisfied exactly because it stimulates process, not a goal achievement.
