Abstract
A version of the method of non-orthogonal series is considered in which the non-orthogonal functions for the expansion of the required solution are determined from a family of specially chosen boundary-value problems in a domain of simpler geometry than the given domain. Completeness theorems are proved. An implementation of the proposed approach is described for the case of transmission lines for transmitting electromagnetic waves in microwave integrated circuits (MIC).
