Abstract

It has been shown that enamel can provide a permanent record of fetal and neonatal insults. In this study, a significant association was found between case histories and histological findings in both normal and brain-damaged children. It is believed that this method can provide a valuable tool in the diagnosis of the causes of retardation in children.
