Abstract
The article discusses a report on the findings from the first two years of the Givat Sher-Modi'in community-based excavation. The purpose of the archaeological project was to conduct in-depth research into the history and archaeology of the Givat Sher-Modi'in and urge community involvement in its study, development and preservation. The project is developing a sense of identity with Modi'in and a positive stakeholder's attitude toward the area's natural and cultural resources.
