Abstract

Recent HERA low Q2 data show that the logarithmic slope of the proton structure function (∂F2/∂lnQ2) is significantly different from perturbative QCD expectations for small values of Q2 at exceedingly small values of cursive chi. We show that shadowing (screening) corrections provide a natural explanation for this experimental observation.
