Abstract
During the years 1962 to 1971, 271 cases of neuroblastoma occurred. The relatively constant annual rate of increase on 100000 of the people amounted to 0.16 on an average in all stages of life, among them 0.51 children younger than 15 yr. In January, 1974, 39 patients of all stages lived, among them 34 children younger than 15 yr. In the university hospitals, 22 children with neuroblastoma were stationary and ambulatory patients since 1957. Four survived in the 2nd to the 7th yr of treatment. (Early) diagnostic, therapeutic and newest aspects of research are discussed. The possibility of a screening for early recording is cited.
