Abstract

The domination property applies in a multicriteria problem if each feasible alternative is either efficient or else is dominated by an efficient alternative. Sufficient conditions for the property to hold are presented. We show that if certain common conditions are met then proper efficiency implies the domination property and that under convexity conditions, efficiency, proper efficiency, and the domination property are equivalent.
