Abstract

David Nevo relates how his father and rabbi taught him by their examples the importance of appropriate external evaluations to help others learn to make responsible internal/self-evaluations. He notes how the tension between internal and external evaluation has continued to influence his approach to educational evaluation and how he continues to seek ways to combine them appropriately.
