Abstract

In this investigation, the conservative M-integral is extended to treat thermal-elastic, mixed mode problems for a delamination along the 0°/90° interface of fiber reinforced material. Mode separation permits determination of stress intensity factors. It may be noted that for cracks in homogeneous, isotropic materials, as well as isotropic bimaterials excellent agreement was found elsewhere between results determined by this method and those found in the literature.
