The color electric tube and the gluon's momentum fraction

Abstract

We suggest that a simple tube and linear potential picture with zero mass quarks may explain the large fraction (xg ∼ 0.5) of the protons' momentum which is carried by the gluonic field. Further consequences of the tube picture are briefly mentioned.
