Abstract

TechLAN is an ATM network configuration intended to provide the foundation over which new networking techniques and new applications will be experimented with. On this experimental network, a cheap high-speed ATM LAN and application cards that can be connected to the NIC auxiliary port have been developed. The performance of the network has also been analysed using a cell-based traffic generator card and a network analyzer.
