Abstract
Group C streptococci are common causative agents of infections in animals, but a rare cause of bacteremia and meningitis in humans. Severe infections caused by this bacterium are associated with high morbidity and mortality rates. This article presents a case study of a young patient who suffered from bacteremia and meningitis that were caused by streptococcus group C. The clinical manifestations, prognosis and treatment options of this kind of infection are discussed.
