Abstract

Spatiotemporal spinning solitons of the three-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation were discussed with focusing cubic and defocusing quintic nonlinearities. The completely stable spatiotemporal vortex solitons were also studied. The results showed that the stable spinning solitons are possible as a result of competition between focusing and defocusing nonlinearities.
