Abstract
The stabilization problem of second-order systems by a relay controller with time delay was discussed. A scalar control system with a discontinuous negative feedback and having a big time delay was considered. Results concluded that there were bounded stable solutions in the system governed by a relay with constant magnitude. The results also showed that the variable magnitude of the relay elements stabilized the system.
