Spinning light bullets

Abstract

One-parameter families of 3D spinning light bullets in media with either a quadratic or a cubic-quintic nonlinear medium have been identified. The solutions exist provided that their energy exceeds a certain threshold. Exponential decay at infinity requires a) κ > 0 and 2κ + β > 0 (quadratic case) or b) κ > 0 (cubic-quintic case).
