Abstract

New spatial phase filters matched to transverse modes were proposed and investigated; they were analogs ofsinusoidal phase diffraction gratings with avariable modulation depth. A setof spatial phase filters matched to Gauss-Laguerre modes wasmade and studied experimentally. The energy efficiency ofthe phase niters was7-10 times higher than that ofamplitude niters.
