N2 - In the paper the simple samples of the basic metaconstructions are considered. Such constructions allow enhancing the radiation properties as well as providing the possibility of needed characteristics of antennas. It is possible due to unusual properties of such materials which are the negative value of permittivity and/or permeability that can be achieved by the special design of material elements and their shape. There are many kinds of those metamaterials including split ring resonators, wire medium of different structures, metashells etc. Their utilization or combination of such metacomponents for the modification of different radiators allows to change the operation frequency, radiation pattern and gain as well as their directivity.
