Abstract

Sexual activity in Mauremys caspica rivulata in Israel extends from September-May. The intensity of sexual activity peaks in mid winter, at the time of lowest ambient temperature, shortest day length and maximum rainfall. Rain however, is not a key factor in initiation of the behavior. -from Authors
