Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To compare the efficacy and safety of the available oral therapeutic options (aspirin, warfarin, new oral anticoagulants (NOACs)) for extended thromboprophylaxis in adult patients with a first unprovoked VTE in order to prevent VTE recurrence after completion of an acceptable initial anticoagulant treatment period as defined in the individual studies.
