Abstract

We have searched for the production of long-lived R-Δ++ hadrons, which contain a gluino in addition to three up quarks, in pp, π+p, and K+p interactions at 147 GeV/c. For R-Δ++'s of lifetime greater than 10-9 sec, and laboratory momentum greater than 2 GeV/c, we place 90%-confidence-level upper limits of 6.1 μ b in pp collisions, 4.4 μ b in π+p, and 29 μ b in K+p.
