Abstract

The present article presents a detailed description of the school psychological services in Israel. An explanation of the educational system and its characteristics serves as background for understanding the evolution of the school psychological service since the origin of the State of Israel. The school psychologist's activities, areas of emphasis, and field work are reviewed, important issues are described, and future challenges and objectives are discussed.
