Abstract
Salivary levels of amylase, lysozyme and leucine amino peptidase activity were determined in 47 patients with no salivary disorders and 17 with known parotid disease: five with benign tumors, four with malignant tumors and eight with chronic inflammatory disease of the parotid. There were no statistically significant differences in mean enzyme activities between those with and those without salivary disorders.
