Abstract
Little attention has been given to possible changes in the mechanical properties of dentin as the result of root canal treatment. In this study, the hardness of dentin taken from teeth that were extracted at different periods after root canal treatment was determined. The results show that dentin hardness is not altered after endodontic treatment. The possible clinical implications of these findings are discussed.
