Abstract

Of 143 prostatic cancer patients treated with radical prostatectomy 38 had undergone transurethral resection of the prostate before the prostatectomy. After radical prostatectomy 5 per cent of the patients who did not have a resection and 8.1 per cent of those who did were severely incontinent. The difference is not statistically significant.
