Abstract

Responds to a comment of the study of instantaneous normal mode (INM) approach to diffusion. Concerns over INM theory attempts to predict barrier hoping times using imaginary frequency; Employment of steepest descent paths from either side of a zero-force INM; Comparison of liquid structures in the nearest local intima.
