Abstract

We write the non-covariant action, describing non-abelian chiral bosons coupled to a gauge field, in a "curved" space-time covariant form, and study its renormalization structure. Exploiting the observation that the theory may be considered as a gauge fixed version of a gauge invariant theory, and working in a covariant gauge, we show that the theory is one-loop renormalizable and compute the one-loop β-function. Due to a property of the "curved" metric, the renormalization structure of the theory is similar to that of Dirac fermions chirally coupled to a non-abelian gauge field.
