Abstract

The renorm-group approach to the calculation of the effective dielectric constant of two-dimensional inhomogeneous systems which takes into account the electromagnetic interaction is considered. This approach is based on the circumstance that in each step of the renorm-procedure the electromagnetic fields (at a distance from a lattice plane) set up by the old and the new structure elements are approximately equal to each other. The asymptotics of the effective dielectric constant near the percolation threshold has been obtained. The singular term is proportional to the quantity | p - Pc|v where v is the critical index of the correlation length.
