Abstract

Measurements of the reflectance of Tl//1// minus //xTe//x at near-normal incidence in the photon energy range 0. 65-3. 0 eV are reported for 8 values of x. An oscillator model has been fit to the data; the behavior of the oscillator band gap as a function of composition is consistent with the bonding scheme of Cutler for these alloys.
